The ChatGPT connector (MCP)

ChatGPT connects to the same remote Model Context Protocol server as the Claude connector. There is nothing separate to install: you add that server to ChatGPT as a custom MCP server, which ChatGPT keeps under Plugins. ChatGPT gets the same tools, the same OAuth sign-in and the same per-account scoping as Claude.

  1. Copy your connector URL from the dashboard: Settings → Integrations → Claude & ChatGPT. It is your API origin plus /api/mcp — on the hosted platform, https://platform-api.viite.ai/api/mcp.
  2. In ChatGPT, open Plugins and choose Add (top right), then Add custom MCP server.
  3. Fill in the form:
    • Name: Business Studio. Description is optional.
    • Connection: Server URL, and paste the URL from step 1.
    • Authentication: OAuth. ChatGPT discovers the OAuth settings from the URL; leave Advanced OAuth settings alone.
    • Tick I understand and want to continue. ChatGPT requires it for any custom MCP server.
  4. Choose Create as a plugin. In the Connect Business Studio dialog, choose Continue to Business Studio.
  5. Sign in to Business Studio if asked. The consent screen names ChatGPT as the client and shows chatgpt.com as the host receiving the code. Choose Approve, and the card in the dashboard reads Connected.
  6. In a chat, type @Business Studio and ask for what you want, e.g. “@Business Studio list my in-progress cards”.

Nothing to configure on our side. ChatGPT discovers the auth server from the /.well-known/oauth-* routes and registers itself through Dynamic Client Registration. Registration only accepts a redirect URI on an approved host, and chatgpt.com is on the default list alongside claude.ai and claude.com (MCP_ALLOWED_REDIRECT_HOSTS, see env vars). A self-hosted deployment that sets that variable replaces the default, so it must list chatgpt.com itself.

Everything the Claude connector can: the same tools, the same status vocabularies, the same publishing rule and the same limits. In short:

  • read and file cards, pages, contacts, companies and deals;
  • draft posts for your connected channels, and publish one when you ask (moving it to reviewed);
  • mint tracked links and read the funnel report;
  • search contacts, log activities and link CRM records.

Before a tool call that writes, ChatGPT asks you to Allow once, Always allow or Deny. A draft is never published on its own: create_post only drafts, and publishing is a separate, explicit update_task.

Remove the Business Studio plugin in ChatGPT’s Plugins. The Connected badge in the dashboard counts any live assistant connection, Claude or ChatGPT, so it stays on while the other one is connected.
